Introduction

Hi, I am a newcomer as a Blogger so, if anything is incorrect or not done correctly, please let me know. I am a long time resident of Orlando, married 30+ years and have decided to go back to college to finish my BS degree using the IDS program because of my Health AS degree (Medical Assist.) and Behavioral Science (Psychology major at the start) and an interest in Legal Studies for a minor. I have been a little overwhelmed with the IDS webcourse as this is the first webcourse I have taken but I guess a great place to start especially to learn new computer skills and possibly find new direction in life. I hope to be either in student advising in five years or if not, perhaps retired!

Personality Test:
Your Type is ISTJ

Strength of the preferences %

56

Qualitative analysis of your type formula You are:
moderately expressed introvert
moderately expressed sensing personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
moderately expressed judging personality

*This test is close to my personality as I am more of an introvert than outgoing, I enjoy small groups and also enjoy doing things on my own. I also tend to judge people as I believe there are more and more people who may be "book smart" but their "common sense" is not where it should be.

  1. Hi Kay!
It is great to 'meet' you. I look forward to getting to know you better this semester. I can relate to the overwhelming feeling the IDS Cornerstone course presents. I often felt that there was no way I could possibly complete the course load considering the sheer number of assignments each week. However, I would like to encourage you to hang in there. It will really be worth it in the end! While it was one of the most demanding courses of my entire degree program, I believe it was also the most valuable. It forced me to not only consider my future endeavors, but also to actually put pen to paper and make a PLAN. I simply took one assignment at a time and slowly made my way through the class. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to ask me. I will do my best to help. Again, it is my pleasure to meet you, and I wish you a wonderful week!
    Cheers,
    Shelley :)

  3. Hi Kay!

You are welcome! To answer your question, Yes, I believe that is the case. We will be discussing various aspects of the IDS program and how we can best utilize Interdisciplinarity within our careers and life. At least that is my understanding. I am also here to answer any IDS questions you may have as you make your way throught the Cornerstone course. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
    Take Care,
    Shelley :)
