Hi,
I guess Shelley is on the high seas this week and may not be able to send a message our way.
I was just wondering if you (John or Alanna) had found a definite direction for your careers from taking this class or were you already decided before you enrolled? I am already working and have found that advising is what I want to continue doing, although the IDS class has helped me see how some of my other classes can relate to my field.

Kay,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the Blog by the horns for me. You were correct! I was unable to get internet for a couple of days, but now I am back on solid ground and back to reality. Ugh! Since you posted a discussion topic I will simply join in this week.
I had already decided before I enrolled in the IDS program and courses that I may want to teach someday. I think my ultimate goal was to finally complete my 4 year degree, and the IDS program was a perfect fit for me. I will need to take additional education courses when I am ready to start a career but that is ok, because I have NO idea what state I will be living in nor what their requirements will be for certification. Nonetheless having my BA out of the way is a step in the right direction.
Cheers,
Shelley
Kay, I still have not yet decided on a solid career path yet. I would really like to see some of the world before i make my decision on a career. I feel like getting some insight from somewhere other than America, even just a new take or perspective on something would be a good guiding light. I am really into Nutrition and thinking about going to grad school for it, but my child hood dream of being a firefighter paramedic is something is still value a lot. I'm hoping through my travels something along the way will inspire me to pick a path and go at it full speed.
